Prior to the Base Shows beginning, Jean was graduated from the Caroline Leonetti School of Modeling in Hollywood, CA.

Reg Lewis, former "Mr. Universe," and "Miss W.S.A. World" presented Jean with her second "Miss Most Shapely U.S.A." (36-18-32) trophy awarded by the International Federation of Body Builders.  Photo by Charlie See.   Photographer  Bill Bridges did a big photo layout on Jean to accompany an Art Seidenbaum article in the L.A. <==about photo left> Jean became the L.A. Shakespeare Society's first Shakespeare girl - - founder/President, R. Thad Taylor, makes the presentation.

Part of Jean's task as the first Shakespeare Girl was welcoming England's Royal Shakespeare Society cast to Los Angeles.

Jean's escort to most events like this was Joseph Brienza, the hair stylist for the Jean London Shows, (standing behind her in photo's).  Johnny Crawford was a welcomed guest that I had known since his youth on The Rifleman TV show.  Also attending was movie star, John Payne, and his wife, and Lily Lipton, publicist for stars, who also appeared as a Hollywood Panel guest of the Jean London Show.

R. Thad Taylor, founder and President of the Shakespeare Society of America, was born in Madison, South Dakota and left Madison in 1942 as a teenager.

The 'Miss Film World' title took Jean to Germany for appearances and a costarring role in 'The Starmaker' with Wendel Corey.  Former Mr. America and Mr. Universe, Reg Lewis, who was a dear friend escorted the entourage to the airport in his great old car.  Wendel Corey arrived and the two waited for their flight arrival as the film producer picked up their first-class tickets.  Can you believe those costumes!  What year was that?  Oh! yes it was the Sixty's - 1968.  This trip was special for Jean also as her father had fled from Hitler's Germany when he was a young man . . . and, she also went to the Benz plant to secure the mechanical handbook (in German) so she could work on her own 1960 190SL when she returned.
